The Roca Sports Blackwater Triathlon 2026

The Roca Sports Blackwater Triathlon is on in Fermoy on Sunday June the 28th 2026. It’s now open for entry for individuals and relays through www.triathlonireland.com . The very first Blackwater Triathlon took place on Sunday the 31st of August 2008, with 350 competitors taking part in a sprint triathlon on the day. This year the Blackwater Triathlon Club is delighted to announce that we are once again hosting three separate events . There is a standard distance race, consisting of a 1.5km river swim, followed by a 40km cycle and a 10km run. We will also have a sprint distance race, consisting of a 750 river swim, followed by a 20km cycle and a 5km run . The day will be rounded off with a Try-a-Tri race for the triathlon curious out there. This will consist of a 250m downriver swim followed by a 20km cycle and 5km run. This is an ideal race for someone who may not be a very confident swimmer but would like to try a triathlon. There is something there for all levels and we look forward to seeing you all on Sunday the 28th of June.
